Exhibition „Course swirl – smell smell“ is connecting the myths of Orpheus, Ophelia a Narcissus.
Exhibited objects are questioning their own authenticity in respect of the above mentioned themes with reference to such artists as Ján Mánčuška or Gustav Courbet. These themes function as complex of answers to one unknown question, which thus turns to be more the imaginary answer itself. Thus different answers arise, but the question remains the question, the original question becomes thus relative and something arises differently than we think….. this newly-made shape is the installation Course swirl – smell smell.

Matyáš Chochola

In the exhibition year 2010 Altán Klamovka gallery presented for the first time active artists and curators Tomáš Moravec a Matěj Al Ali from gallery Petrohrad in Pilsen and Matyáš Chochola from gallery Potraviny in Brno. Their curatorial aim followed up the exhibition Action galleries focused on the problem of curator – artist in Czech contemporary art within the framework of nonprofit galleries.
