1. Are you trying to eliminate the curatorial aspect in your gallery?
1. Entrance gallery is a space that was founded and is led by the artists. Authors, who were included in the exhibition plan of our gallery, are given our full confidence, we provide them with the space and we don’t feel any further need to interfere with their projects. Our curatorial activity is thus more or less limited to the choice of the authors. We do not reject curatorial projects from the outside, next year we are even planning to emphasize this cooperation in our gallery program.
2. What is the concept of your gallery like?
2. Entrance concentrates on young generation of artists from the Czech Republic and even from abroad. The criteria for the choice of the author are quality and individual contribution of his/her work in the field of contemporary visual art. Entrance is focusing on projects with clear conceptual intention and original visual representation.
3. Do you know about any contemporary art gallery with a similar concept abroad, which is as well run by the artists and whose activity remains in the non-profit sector? Would you give me, please, its website and email address. Choose one gallery only.
3. Yes, we know similarly organized galleries, the example might be Polish gallery Szara, we’ve been cooperating with.

4. Are you willing to participate in a small conference held in October 2009 on the subject: Role of the curator in contemporary Czech fine art?
4. We are interested in the position of curators within Czech contemporary art, although we don’t feel ourselves like curators. We may thus also participate in the conference, even if rather as visitors – spectators, than as active contributors.
